Korean beauty sheet masks for a glowing skin

Since a few years now, Korean sheet masks have been fashionable thanks to Instagram, where everyone from K-beauty mavens to celebrities take photos of them plastered on their faces. They’re also an inexpensive trend, costing as little as a buck to try and being available from your nearest Sephora to Walgreens everywhere.

That said, not all Korean sheet masks are the same although they may seem to be the same. There are several different types of fabrics (fibre, pulp, hydrogel, etc), as well as multiple ingredients suited to particular skin problems such as acne, dryness, aging and more. Most sheet masks can improve your skin, but if you want to fix specific problems, make sure you read about what you are buying first.

We’re sharing our favorite Korean sheet masks with you so that you’ll know what to look for when you go shopping for skincare. Wrap your hair up, grab a bottle of wine and relax!

Mediheal X BTS Mask Sheet Special Set

We had to put this collab on top of our Korean sheet masks list because it so beautifully caters for K-beauty and K-pop fans. It not only includes 10 excellent sheet masks from Mediheal (five Tea Tree and five N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask EX), but it also comes with a picture card package from the world’s largest K-pop band so you can sleep with it tucked under your pillow (and dream of OT7, if you’re lucky!).

Tosowoong Pure mask line

For many reasons, Tosowoong is a favorite cult in K-beauty circles: face masks are inexpensive, drenched with great natural ingredients, and stay wet for a long time when wearing. Our favourites are the propolis and snail masks, but you can also pick between green tea, blueberry, aloe and deep seawater.

Skederm Snail Jelly Face Mask

For others, the thought of snail slime in your skincare may be a turnoff, but Korean beauty converts know it’s the equivalent of the youth fountain. This Skederm mask is a fantastic face-fit, rich in moisture, and incredible smells. You can wear it for a long time as well so feel free to indulge in the material of your heart.

Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Mask Sheet

Some of the masks Dr. Jart has on our list are more costly than the other Korean sheet masks, but for good reason: they are very powerful. After one use of this mask and more reduction with several uses over a week, I noticed a significant reduction in pore size. Made from the strong antioxidant Glutathione, this mask is perfect for fading dark spots and brightening up overall.

My Beauty Diary Imperial Bird’s Nest mask

I’m cheating a little by putting My Beauty Diary on this list, since it’s really a Taiwanese rather than a Korean brand. Yet the goods are so outstanding I thought that leaving them out of a best lineup of masks would be an mistake. An extremely lightweight, light mask, from deep hydration to anti-aging it’s perfect for everything.

It also smells completely good and is cut smaller than most masks, so you will love the way it suits if you have a small to medium size face.

Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly Mask collection

This unusual mask comes from feeling a little gloppy about the kit. That’s because it is a jelly mask, filled with far more ingredients of hydration than the regular mask. If you want to get the “K-beauty glow,” the results of this mask are incredibly noteworthy and perfect. I was awed by its results the first time I tried it, and there have been many, many Banobagi masking nights since.
